Jalin T. Sead

Jalin T. Sead was appointed Treasurer of the First Taxing District by the Board of Commissioners in August of 2018 to fill a vacancy which became available when Elsa Obuchowski became a District Commissioner. His term as Treasurer will expire in November of 2019.

Mr. Sead was born and raised in Norwalk and is passionate about serving the community. He founded JCA Outreach to advocate and provide mentoring for the youth, earning him the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award at NFTE's (Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship) annual Dare to Dream gala in April, 2011. He graduated from Brien McMahon High School and earned his associates degree in criminal justice from Norwalk Community College.

In addition to his role as Treasurer at the First Taxing District, Mr. Sead is active in Norwalk organizations and involved in local politics. He has served as Deputy Treasurer to the Norwalk Democratic Town Committee since March 2016 and was appointed to the City of Norwalk’s Fair Housing Advocacy Commission. In November, 2017 he was elected as Constable of the City of Norwalk and a Justice of the Peace.

He is the proud father of Jalin Jr. which has deepened his commitment to his hometown of Norwalk.
